Will it work with my car?
It works with OBD II-compliant vehicles, which includes most cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. since 1996. Check that your car has an OBD-II port.
Where is the OBD-II port?
It is usually under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column.
Does it fix the problem?
No. It reads the trouble codes your car reports so you know where to look. If the underlying issue is not fixed, the light can come back after you clear it.
Can it clear the check engine light?
Yes. It can erase stored codes and turn off the check engine light once the issue has been dealt with.
